Simple Postage when two purchases are sent in one packet

My customer bought two foreign coins from me as separate purchases and with just a few minutes between the purchases. He paid £2.70p simple postage on each item. I sent the two coins in one envelope. When I came to leave feedback I could only leave it on the one coin that I had printed a label for, the other item is still being shown as not posted, which is very annoying as a red "not sent" comes up on my screen each time  l go into ebay.  More importantly my customer has paid two lots of postage but ebay will only have to pay Royal Mail for one package as I only printed one label and posted one package. Of course ebay should automatically refund my customer for the excess postage he paid but will they? What actually does happen to the £2.70 my customer paid but which did not get spent on postage? I mean obviously ebay can't keep it as that would be stealing, so what does happen to it?

Simple Postage when two purchases are sent in one packet

ebay do automatically refund buyers for unused postage labels within 30 days.    If you open the unused label that will mark the item as dispatched.   It will remain unused and buyer will get the money back.
