Is Simple Delivery mandatory now ? used to be able to select custom postage option but it’s not available now. Just tried listing and Simple Delivery is the only option for postage

'Sold a Vinyl yesterday for £180 and Simple delivery only offer £150 protection on the service eBay selected... big warning telling me my item wasn't fully covered...'
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You got a warning!
That's good; an improvment anyway...

Same here. I only use ebay on my mobile phone app.
Why does ebay keep messing with us? They are really trying to ruin all us sellers.

you have to work through the process around the qr code that the buyer gives you when they collect. If you don't read it into the system it doesn't get flagged as collected and you don't get paid for two weeks.

Simple Delivery provides compensation up to £750.
Was it sold on this account? The only vinyl I can see sold on this account was on 25th June and that wasn't listed with Simple Delivery.
It would be interesting to know exactly what the warning message said and at what point it appeared.

Unfortunately this now does not work - obviously ebay has found out and made it so you can't do this - I used to be able to and now cannot. It means I can't list anything because I cant do Evri as shop is miles away and most of my items I sell are small amounts No one is going to pay Royal Mail post plus another 30p for RM to collect from me as we do not have a post office. I am totally dismayed how e bay are treating long serving members by not providing more services ie Yodel which I can do! Sadly goodbye Ebay like a lot of people!!

You can switch off evri
Buyer will pay 3.38 for a RM small parcel, tracked and collected for free too
which is fine if you sell the kind of things you have on
evri can be dearer than RM too

Only issue with RM small parcels is that one dimension has to be less than 16cm which can be quite restrictive

True for non clothing
but anyway, if eBay “recommends” small parcel when you list something, you can send it as medium size and they pick up the tab
Unless they’ve changed their policy as they’re often wont to do without telling anyone
But medium parcel up to 1kg is very cheap compared to RMs own price
for 2kg it’s identical

EBay labels don’t state the weight and size
eg plus I believe all post office staff have been told to accept any eBay,parcel ?

Thank you for sharing your workaround.. that would work for me when the one I'm currently trying fails or is blocked. I'm completely determined to make it until Christmas (my end point for ebay) without using Stupid Delivery.

Mine don’t, as per my example, so that’s that , no idea further

Ebay labels DO state size/postage paid. That how my sub-postmaster refused my package. Told me insufficient postage paid.

Was the label printed by the Post Office or did you print it yourself?
The labels provided by eBay usually just have 'Marketplace Seller' in the bottom left corner and 'Paid by eBay Simple Delivery' in the bottom right corner with no mention of the size/price.
Those printed at the Post Office from the QR code appear to have a different format, and do state the size/price, which is what is causing the confusion.
