I've just taken many of the things I had on sale on eBay off because of this stupid and unhelpful new "Simple Delivery" policy. Whoever thought it would it was a good idea should have asked the eBay users first. I certainly won't be putting anything new on eBay, unless they don't involve postage.
If you monitor this forum eBay, please don't force me to use your postage options - I prefer to choose how to send individual items.
And also please refund the postage that you've deducted from my account for a postage label I was forced to print (as advised by your help desk) but didn't use.
And if you can get Evri to refund the £20 parcel of mine they lost a while ago, I might consider using them. They wouldn't refund me at the time because by the time they acknowledged they'd lost the parcel they said it was too late to claim - I really don't want to use them again.

You haven't said why you don't want to use Simple Delivery. There are problems with very small, low value items that you'd be happy to send untracked and very large ones but otherwise it's great. For instance if Evri had lost your £20 parcel and it had been sent under Simple Delivery e-Bay would have refunded the Buyer and you'd have kept the money with no chasing Evri, or Royal Mail if it had been them. Most things are covered against loss or damage up to £750; when dealing direct with couriers you'd have to pay extra for that sort of coverage and even then they have great long lists of things they won't pay compensation on.
