I sold a record yesterday for just under £150 which was being sold with Special Delivery postage, having chosen Small Parcel size and a weight of up to 1kg. At some point last week, most of my items automatically switched to the dreaded Simple Delivery, and the buyer's gone for in essence Tracked 48 - but at a price of £2.75! I'm surprised considering that it previously would have been £3.45. They are based abroad and it's going via the GSP hub.
Other items I have that fall into the same size category and weight start at £3.94 for postage under the new "regime". This Simple Delivery thing certainly isn't simple...

Simple Delivery items are covered by e-Bay against loss or damage in transit up to £750. Therefore there's no need for Buyers to pay for Special Delivery, unless it's over that.

I see re another item I sold today with the same package size/weight category that the buyer paid £3.38 if including VAT - even allowing for VAT not being charged re the previous item I mentioned, with VAT it would be £3.30.

I was able to use Custom Postage up until a few days ago.

Vinyl records are on the 'exclusion list' ... we still have no idea if such items will be covered or not.
