Simple Delivery and GarageSale

I know that there are already discussions about Simple Delivery but this is about Simple Delivery being implemented in the GarageSale application.

I had thought that it was unlikely that I would be selling anymore due to Simple Delivery but as I list everything using GarageSale, I thought that I would check out if/when/how it would be implemented. According to discussion on the German developer's website, it seems that developers have been blindsided by eBay's decision as, at least for now, it is only happening in the UK and there are no published plans to do anything about it.

So, it looks like their UK users are going to be effectively prevented from using their application and probably not very happy about it.

I'm curious how many GarageSale users there are on here and what their thoughts are.

Simple Delivery only applies to private sellers, I can't imagine that many of those would be using that app.

Re: Simple Delivery and GarageSale

Surely you mean Simple Delivery only applies when items are actually being posted to buyers?

Re: Simple Delivery and GarageSale

I've been using it for about 20 years and saves a LOT of time (or at least it used to) and makes listings look more appealing allowing you to save templates - to me, it has been worth the money (currently, £30 for a new license). Sometimes it is worth thinking of time as money; e.g. you spend 15 minutes making sandwiches to take to work, at national minimum wage, that's about £3.00 worth of work (not including ingredients). So if an application can save you 15 minutes of time spent listing, it won't take long before it pays for itself - and maybe attract more buyers.

There is a limit for private sellers, 50 listings per month (so not for private sellers) on up to two Macs for £30, which has always suited me, or about £11 per month on top of that for unlimited listings (mainly business sellers).

Anyway, I only asked if anybody else used it and what their thoughts were (regarding Simple Delivery), I wasn't expecting a debate on the merits of the application. I'm not here to sell it - just pointing out that I'm a private seller and it has served me well.
