Simple Delivery Is A Killer - A Change Of Tack Is Needed And I Have Some Questions.

Hi. I've been a private seller for 5 years now and I've hardly sell much, but if I list something, it's usually gone within the week. Since these, changes were implemented, I've not sold a thing since February. Buyers will only accept the absolute lowest of prices. I am at the point where I have no choice but to give into the madness of it and chance it with this new scheme.

I've been reading up on other threads about Simple delivery and I have some questions.

I came across an interesting comment made by an individual who has recommended to another, they have to set the bidding price low to allow for low fees from the BPS paid by the buyer. Does that actually work? And will setting a reserve increase BPF for the buyer?

If I select EVRi as a chosen carrier, will they come and collect the parcel?

Thanks!

I would always start the auction at the lowest price you are prepared to accept as reserves are costly (4%) and charged regardless of whether the item sells or not plus the minimum reserve you can set is £50 anyway.  The BPF is automatically added to the start price that you specify and then included in each subsequent bid made.

Evri don't currently provide a collection option with Simple Delivery, so if you require collection you would need to opt out of using Evri.
