Seller messing about

Seller has done nothing but mess me about now I have given them my bank details for the postage fee and still asking what is the best way, I think they are delaying the process until my return postage due date is up so they keep my money, ebay is doing nothing to help and can't get hold of them

The seller is registered outside the UK so cannot easily purchase a return label that is valid from the UK to China. Personally, I would have given a PayPal-linked email address rather than bank account details - this is so the seller can send funds for you to purchase the return label.

Now that you have provided your bank account details the seller needs to send you the funds. If they don't and it has been more than two days since the case was opened there should be an "Ask eBay to step in" link - clicking this will speed things up.

You are covered by the Money Back Guarantee so if the seller doesn't cooperate by sending funds for a return label you will still receive a full refund.

Give me ambiguity or give me something else.

Seller messing about

Can you please come back and explain what has happened.

Are you returning an item for a change of mind reason or did you receive one defective,  broken and item not as described?

"I have given them my bank details"... when they already have your name, address, email and (possibly) telephone number?

You really should not have done that, nor is it necessary for a return... I'd check with your bank immediately and report exactly what details you handed over.

Only ever use a RM Tracked 48 label provided via your eBay account, which is prepaid if your order was broken or not as described, or the value taken from your refund amount for change of mind etc.

Why did you give a seller your bank details?

You need to provide more information such as what the issue with the purchase is (didn't arrive, arrived damaged, different item received etc.) and have you opened an eBay case?

Give me ambiguity or give me something else.

On the listing for the phone does it have a UK address?  Then,  even if it's a Chinese seller,  do not be fobbed off that it needs to be sent back to China,  it doesn't it goes back to that UK location.

Please allow me to show you my very similar experience of this,  and how it was resolved !

Send the seller a polite message to send asap the appropriate postage label for the UK,  for the return of their item.  This is important,  because I feel you'll need to contact Customer Services like I had to later, and they like to see communication to resolve matters between seller and buyer !

I too was asked for my PayPal details,  umm no again,  send a polite message this is not in eBay rules, it's not needed,  ask again for a label they need to pay for.

I waited over 6 days and the option to escalate did not appear.  I had no label, and no refund, and no escalation option !

I'm thinking if a seller sends a Chinese address for some reason it fools the system thinking a label is sent and the option to escalate does not appear.

I contacted CS they viewed the case,  viewed all the messages, and refunded me and closed the case telling me I could keep the item, I kindly informed them the item's new home is my bin.

Disappointingly I received a discretionary refund,  meaning eBay repaid me,  and they told me the seller gets to keep my money too!  The seller after all was selling in their thousands.

You may well experience the above certainly seems to be heading that way , in which case you may well need Customer Services later.

If it's the phone the OP left negative feedback against both the seller and their items are located in China.
