I was scammed out of a family mirror by a fraudster from LA. Ebay sided with the buyer even though I was told ebay had my back and to do nothing. She got a free mirror and I lost my money
I have this evening had a 'buyer' from LA buy a mirror and then started sending me abusive messages and wanting to cancel. Not the same user ID but a touch of a coincidence? I think not.
I can't get passed the robot on chat and they will not get an agent to call me. I can't report them as they did not complete the transaction.
I am getting sorely fed up with ebay - it's gone to the dogs.

"I can't report them as they did not complete the transaction."
You can file a non payment claim after 4 working days.
Your "buyer" may be a friend or relative but you will never know for sure.

You can also report abusive messages by clicking on the 3 dots at top right on the message itself.

I filled in a report by clicking the three dots but there was no 'submit' button. The whole of Ebay seems jiggered right now. I am so fed up with it. Wasted ages speaking to a robot which was not getting it.

I used to sell overseas - but I learned along the way that you have ZERO protection when selling outside the UK.
Perhaps you should re-consider selling to the USA?

There is another popular selling platform over here, which shall go nameless, that actually stopped 'UK to USA' shipping in January, despite being a U.S. business. In a statement put out at the time, they revealed a 50% failure rate in deliveries, over a period of several months. Americans are currently blocked from bidding or buying from any UK-based seller on the platform.
And yes, I am aware there are many sellers who ship to the US, without any problems. I however, have not been so lucky, lol. I only mention it because, in truth, that is a remarkable number.

Actually, OP, have a good hard look at the list of countries you are happy to ship to. You appear to ship everywhere, and everywhere includes some right dodgy places.
A few years ago I whittled my list of countries I ship to down to about a dozen. Yep, still get the occasional problem, but far fewer than I did before. (Those buyers in countries I don't ship to who really really want to buy, use shipping agents with UK addresses.)
