MY 18 YEARS AS AN EBAY SELLER HAS COME TO AN END. THE SYSTEM HAS OVER SEVERAL YEARS BECOME MORE AND MORE ANTI SELLER. THE IMPOSITION OF THE "SIMPLE DELIVERY" SCAM IS THE LAST STRAW. IT DOES NOT MAKE SELLING EASIER FOR ME.
AS OF TODAY, I WILL NO LONGER BE SELLING THROUGH EBAY.

Surely Simple Delivery should not apply to you , only to Private sellers, those who are selling their unwanted used items say a garage / attic / wardrobe clear out.
You had dozens of watches for sale, so correctly registering as a Business account , would exclude any SD issues you encountered.

@hodson8516 Let me rewrite your post for you:
"My 18 years as an eBay seller has come to an end. I've been pretending to be a Private seller for all that time and got away with it but now that Simple Delivery has been introduced I can no longer choose my own shipping method and rather than keep my head down so I can carry on ripping off eBay (for fees) and customers (for their consumer rights) I thought I'd come on here and have a rant, which I've written in capital letters so it looks like I'm shouting".
You should be registered as a Business seller, but given that you've been on eBay for nearly two decades you are probably fully aware of that and don't need to be told. That you accuse eBay of a scam is, I have to say, amusing. I have no sympathy for you. Genuine Private sellers? Yes. Business sellers? Yes. But Businesses pretending to be Private sellers, avoiding fees and denying customers their legal consumer rights? No. Never.
