In the news this morning Royal Mail has been fined for not reaching its delivery targets - £10.5 million for achieving a 74% First Class doorstep delivery rate ( instead of 95% ). All well & good - now you know where your item is, it is in "the system". My question is - where does this £10.5 million go? Into some black hole? Community housing? NHS? Should it not be distributed amongst those unfortunate eBay sellers who access the poor service in the first place & have to put up with the flak from buyers wanting to know where their item is? Just a thought.
But seriously - I have always wondered where the money goes when a big corporation is fined, be it Apple or Google or Royal Mail. Answers on a postcard please - winner will be sent a prize via Royal Mail, it cannot be guaranteed to arrive before Xmas!

As per Ofcom:
"Any income received through issuing fines is passed directly to HM Treasury and does not contribute to Ofcom’s running costs."

Whilst it depends upon who's doing the fining most of the big corporate fines you hear about in the news go to the Treasury.

Prince Andrews advance funeral planning?
This'll be Brian's excuse to somehow 'kick him out' properly I think.
