QR codes for in post lockers

Due to ebay changes where items need to be marked as received before we get paid, I decided to offer in post locker.

The process was not clear and only option was to print a label - I don't have a printer. I expected to be sent a QR code but Ebay doesn't seem to be set up that way. Any ideas?

QR codes for in post lockers

In all the time I’ve sent something with InPost I’ve always had to print a label.

I know you can get labels printed in some store drop offs using a QR code, but not the lockers.

As how would the courier know where it’s got to go when it comes out of the locker?

I think you’ll just need to find a way to print the label. Local library??

I was advised you could get a QR code to be scanned to that was wrong advice!

I am thinking of going back to Royal Mail option but need to understand how the customer will be able to mark item as receiSed as they don't do that now?

I can see its been delivered when I insert tracking details.

Thanks for your advice. Super helpful.

Depends what service you use with Royal Mail. We use Tracked 48 which certainly gets a delivery confirmation. As does Royal Mail 48 most of the time.

in eBay’s new rules for private sellers if an order isn’t tracked as delivered I believe payment is released after 14 days from the estimated delivery date?

Buyer's can't mark as received, not now or in the future.

This is ridiculous! I offered In-post locker as an option and now it says I can't use the QR code and have to print a label.  I offered evri to someone else, turns out the buyer is in NI so it cost nearly £6 to send a £5 item. I can see why Vinted is outperforming eBay by a long shot.  Gonna ship these 2 items, and just stick with Vinted and Depop for ease and transparency
