Has same problem today RM said I need to request a new label from eBay. Is there a simple way to do this, the menus don't make it straightforward.

If you have a RM delivery office (subject to opening times), locker etc near you, it will scan there. I personally won't do the another label dance

Same here this morning. Three Tracked 48 labels with YA prefix wouldn't scan at the post office. Bought postage from RM website yesterday.

Don't know if it has been mentioned in this thread but eBay have an announcement about this issue hidden away on the Help & Contact page.
"The Post Office is experiencing issues with Royal Mail T48 labels (print in store and at home). We expect resolution by Monday, 4th August. Meanwhile, send parcels using alternative locations like Collect+ and Lockers. More details can be found here."

There’s nothing from eBay on what we should do??
There is no option to generate a new label or cancel the current one.
i guess I could pay for postage but then there is no way to add the tracking number and no doubt EBay will say as it wasn’t posted by Simple Delivery they won’t cover any loss etc.
Its unacceptable for folks to have to contact eBay support for a solution when this clearly effects a lot of people.
I found the eBay message but clearly there are still issues today (Monday) despite saying it would be sorted out today.

eBay should pull the tracked 48 service until fixed.

Totally agree. Why do they continue to take the money when they know there is an issue and have known for 4 days? Dare I say it’s a financial decision by a perhaps ailing and poorly run company?

Or at least flag the problem when buying a label.

Yeah, eBay have done that in the past...I'm guessing they need to wake up the CEO to get permission

Hi All,
Thank you for your posts.
The Post Office is experiencing issues with Royal Mail T48 labels (print in store and at home). It is expected to be resolved by today the 4th of August. Post offices have been advised to still accept the packages. However if your package is not being accepted there are alternative locations to send parcels such as collect + and lockers.
eBay has updated a banner to the site to advise users.
Thank you,
Kat

Seriously! You expect e bay to respond to an ongoing problem by actually informing the sellers what is going on! If it was not for this forum no one would be any the wiser about any problem that crops up (all too often on this site). Too much effort required to put a quick notice up to inform that there is such and such a problem and it is being looked into.

Hi
It is not just an Ebay issue. We have tried to send a batch of parcels using Parcel2Go and they have the new Royal Mail YA prefix on the tracking code, so were rejected at local PO. At another PO they enter the parcels manually and the tracking will get picked up within the RM system (we hope). It looks like RM has started a new prefix and someone at PO has not updated the deadly Horizon system properly. The fault was known to both parties on 2nd, so why wasn't it fixed over the weekend.

Not helpful really, i have 4 expensive parcels to go, post office wont accept them, and ebay already taken postage from me, whats best move so i dont repay?

After reading about the scanning problems over the weekend, I took my Track48, YA number parcel to my local Delivery Office, no problem scanning it, he knew about the PO problems but said its been ok here.
So it's just a Post Office problem, not eBay or sorting / delivery Office which only opens 8-10am

I have had same problem but post office said that although they could not scan they have been advised that you just get a universal receipt and post it out and Royal Mail will automatically sort the tracking out when it gets to them. So no real worry.

I have just been this morning and had the same problem. Waiting for ebay to call me back. It's an absolute joke.

Whilst it is great to see eBay acknowledging this problem, But what about increase seller protection for this incident please?
I was offering same day despatch premium service (I say was... because I went back to 2-day despatch this morning), but Post office took my items into the system on Saturday not knowing what was really going on, they said it was just a glitch that would soon be worked out. And now there is no tracked proof of postage so I am to get ebay late postage dings losing my above standard and premium levels. We need account protection from things outside our control.
