If it arrives and the box is empty - it is an item not a described.

If it is  not the phone in the listing - it is an item not as described.

Same for if it doesn't work, is damaged etc.

You are fully covered by the Ebay MBG so just open a case and the seller will have to send you a label to send it back and you will receive a full refund.

Follow all the steps in the returns procedure and do not message the seller or reply to any messages outside of the case.

Of course ebay has guidance on what to do, it's called the money back guarantee.  There is a link on almost every listing or use the search in the help function.

@Ij19804

A couple of questions:

1) did he send the tracking no. by message or did it come from eBay 'your item has been posted' message?

2) has the payment been processed yet?

Check on Evri website what the tracking no. shows. It is possible for sellers to obtain a tracking no. and then cancel it.

If they have a bad track record it is possible that eBay have removed all their listings (address/email/name associations etc)

If you are  (rightly) worried by this you could request a cancellation of the purchase if eBay is not showing it as confirmed.
