Posting advice please as confused

I've just sold my first item, which was on something called simple delivery. I noticed when I printed the label, it said no signature required, which has scared me, so I want to send it the next working day, special delivery. Would this be okay to do, and will I still get paid?

Simple delivery covers you for up to £750 so changing the postage method is of no advantage to you in terms of insurance or when you get paid.

Also with SD if your item is lost or damage eBay pays the refund and you keep your money. They also protect you from Negative/Neutral feedback when this happens. And they chase up the courier, not you.

I know there is a learning curve to get up to speed with a new system, but SD protects you better and saves you time once you have a few under your belt!

But it states on a label no signature required, so surely I wouldn't be protected? I'm not even sure how to use the SD and what I actually have to attach to the package

Re: Posting advice please as confused

Please take a few minutes to read up on how Simple Delivery works.  EBay’s guidance is pretty good.

You are covered by Ebay's special seller protection and you stick the label on the parcel and take it to the relevant courier drop-off

Can you use the QR code, and do they put the label on with the buyer's address? I just want to be sure I'm doing everything correctly

Re: Posting advice please as confused

If you've been given the QR code - this is generally scanned by the drop off location (Post Office or Parcel Shop) and they will print the label.

The new Royal Mail parcel drop off lockers even print off labels in many cases.

You said you had printed the label, so you need to put it on.
