Hello,
When I create a new listing the default for postage is 'buyer pays'. As an example, say the postage amount to be charged is £3.38, then when I change it to 'seller pays' the amount changes to £4.48. It behaves the same with other parcel sizes and different 'buyer pays' amounts.
This started last Sunday. I reported it to eBay via a call back, giving full details, during which the agent stated it was a technical fault. Two days later I received a message along the lines of 'I understand you are having a problem with postage, how may I assist?' On Wednesday I requested another callback and reported it again; this time at least the agent did some troubleshooting and logged everything. It's now three days later and the problem persists. It's been almost a week, nothing's changed. Anyone else experienced this problem?
Thanks.

I seem to remember other sellers reported having this problem a few months ago, not long after Simple Delivery started.
If your listing is in draft, have you added the item price yet? That seemed to fix it so that both postage prices were the same. Hopefully someone else may have other ideas about what might be causing this.

@adrian_bolt Not me, no. Just tested it on a new listing and it doesn't change. I'm not a technical person, but have you tried all the usual clearing cookies, updating browsers and trying different browsers? Opera is a very lite browser to install as a second one and is my go to when all else fails.
It is unlikely to be a glitch if no one else is reporting it.
Good luck sorting it out.

Thanks for testing. I've cleared cookies, etc.
Haven't tried a different browser; if no one else mentions having a problem then I would start wondering if it's because I'm using Safari (the latest version).

You're right, it was buggy just after Simple Delivery. And thank you for that suggestion. Having added the price, the postage amount stays the same no matter how often I switch back and forth between 'buyer pays' and 'seller pays'.
But then it gets interesting: with a price of £100 the postage is £3.38, with £500- £750 it's £4.48.
(Should have mentioned earlier: it's for the eBay recommended parcel size of 'Up to 2 kg, 45x35x16cm.)

Simple Delivery postage prices increase for items over £100, so the prices you mentioned are correct. Up to £100 is £3.38, over £100 is £4.48, for Royal Mail 1-2kg small parcel.

Thank you, that never occurred to me; it explains why the postage charge changes when the price does. Guess there's some insurance included as part of the postage charge.

Given your later reply, this is the solution, enter the item price before choosing postage. Thanks again.
