I listed 3 items today. I put a link to YT on them all and a comment to contact me if any questions. One item came back with policy violation? I requested a phone call, the agent advised me to remove the YT link and the contact me. I did tell him I do that a lot, but no, I still had to remove it from this one item?
Is it AI that checks these listings. If I go back later will it accept the YT link?
I'm selling junk journals and I feel it helps the potential buyer to see what they are interested in?

You can upload your video directly to the eBay listing:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/selling/listings/creating-managing-listings/adding-video-listing
...or embed a YouTube video within the listing, but apparently not link to it:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/listing-policies/links-policy
In both cases you need to watch out for other policy violations as described in the second link.

Correct ebays junk AI checks new listings any link no matter how helpful will be flagged.
Old listings will be left until you come to relist or come to ebays attention for some vague reason at some point and will then get flagged.

especially ebays AI, bargain basement AI.
On all listings you can do a short video that is totally fine its part of the photo upload.
Sort and sweet just take quick video on your phone and upload it in the photo section.
If you after and half hour epic that needs to be a linked video not an offsite weblink.
Just follow @davrman links

I'm hoping you can help I've had a policy violation open for 5 days. I cannot do anything to the listing because all the boxes, i.e appeal, edit and delete, are all greyed out.
The listing apparently had an external link, which I removed and then advised eBay straight away. I haven't had any email back from them, and I can't get in touch with them to try to resolve this.
That's the violation "
What do you suggest?
How do I contact ebay to get them to appeal and solve my violation? It used to be so easy to contact ebay when it first started! Now its a nightmare!

All dealt with as soon as I put this in the community, I received an email saying my violation was visible now!

From past experience it seems to detect any website link you put in the description. I once highlighted a BBC article regarding my item and it was flagged. In truth I don't have a problem with that, as I was told it was in an effort to combat fee avoidance, with sellers even now still asking potential buyers to contact them on social media to sort out a better price, etc. Just to clarify, I am absolutely not suggesting (or believe) that was the intention of moira9b, lol. Don't shout at me, lol. Like I said, an innocent mistake, many people have done it, myself included. Often quickly resolved without consequence.

Hi, all I wanted to do was show my junk journals in more detail, but not to be 🙄

If all the videos are are you doing some sort of video of the product in question - you can upload videos directly at the same time you upload images on ebay. It just can't be a YouTube link.

The ebay video isnt long enough for what im wanting to do. But no worries, goods are still selling.
