Payment and deposit

I have noticed this is now an option on all my listings. Something new from eBay? Or a glitch?

Same here. I’m selling off collectibles as my mother in law is downsizing and this payment and deposit box has appeared referring to vehicles. I don’t want to take any payments outside eBay due to the protection eBay offer but there seems no way to disable it. Considering all the scamming that happens on Facebook marketplace I hope eBay is not trying to replicate that environment.

Ebay don't offer any protection on vehicles at all.

I wouldn’t know. I’ve never sold a vehicle and tbh that’s irrelevant to my point which is 1. why am I getting asked which non eBay payment method I want on a 99p piece of China and 2. why does it mention a deposit amount for a vehicle when the category is antique China teapots?

Some  information if you plan selling a Vehicle on eBay >

 Classified Ads. at total fee of £19. 99 will allow the exchange of contact details for viewing and price negotiation over a 30 day period --- set the Start price at or near the price that you would find acceptable --- Avoid inviting Offers which may never be completed --- just continue to Negotiate an acceptable selling price and only remove the Ad. when you have a definite buyer with Cash in hand or a  Bank Transfer is safely deposited/confirmed before handing over Vehicle keys/documents on buyer viewing /collection. No additional FVF selling fee is charged.    No deposits and ---Do not accept PayPal payment.

If I understand correctly they/noone on the thread is trying to sell a vehicle. They are trying to sell a piece of china but ebay is showing messages/options etc. about vehicles.

Perhaps if they would provide screenshots we could see what is going on?

I am unable to see the issue on the listings I have looked at on either account, can you?

Or is it just appearing on the listing form and not when the listing goes live?

An American idea that has appeared by mistake? Cheque is spelled check in the last shot.

Seems to be - and possibly only on mobile and/or app listing. And yet to be shown it actually appears on the item once live.

Yeah I’m getting exactly the same options appearing when listing a couple of vinyls.

Details that are completely  irrelevant to the category and just plain confusing. I’m hoping it’s a glitch that will disappear.

So these are options on the listing tool that you can select if applicable (selling a vehicle)?

Looks like something new for the vehicle sellers that they may be trialling. 

If nobody is listing a vehicle can't they just ignore it/not select it, or will it not let you proceed?
