I sold an item on ebay and used the simple delivery label that I was sent. It was booked to be collected last Friday, which it was. I then had an email from royal mail saying that the item wasn't available when they called. I got straight on to them and provided the CCTV footage I have of it being collected and I have a case number for it, they told me that I have strong evidence for making a claim but as it is over their £75 maximum value and the label was created by ebay I have to claim through them, Ebay are saying that unless the tracking shows it was collected I can't claim through them. I have asked RM if they can update it to say it's missing but they say they can't as they need to scan the item to be able to change it!! I feel like I'm going round in circles and no one will help me. The buyer has now opened an item not received case so I feel like I'm running out of time to get this sorted without losing money.
