Parcel Potentially Stolen from Yodel Store to Door Service

I have yet to go to the store and investigate, however yesterday a buyer messaged me about an order I sent out to him a few days ago. On the Yodel tracking website it said the courier was at the the store to collect the parcel but it wasn't available for collection, I believe it may have been pinched by someone from the shop. I do have a receipt from when I went there to send out the order, I also have bought insurance on the parcel just in case. If the parcel really has been stolen from the shop after I left it there with the storepeople, what should I do and is there any way for both me and the buyer to receieve our money back?

They buyer will have to open a not received case with Ebay, you then have to refund him. Once you have refunded him you will have to put a claim in with Yodel.

You can't make the buyer wait for their refund until you have been paid out on your claim with Yodel.

You are selling designer items.  I would strongly advise you to send all of your parcels by Special Delivery and change your postage prices to reflect this.

This order was regarding a games console however I’ve been to the shop just now to check what the deal was and it turns out the courier just didn’t have space to take it yesterday because it’s a large parcel. Thank you for the advice regardless, I’ll definitely adjust my postage prices for the designer items.
