Will you have to buy postage from ebay or will you still be able to pay when you go to the post office ?

Currently you will be able to still buy at the PO, BUT the CEO of ebay has said that mandatory Simple Delivery will apply to all private sellers in Q1 (so sometime before the end of March).Nobody knows when exactly this will be, as ebay don't seem to want to make a proper announcement about it yet. But when/if that happens, you won't be able to buy at the PO any longer.

Why don't ebay just kick all private sellers off the platform now instead of prolonging it.
It will be a sad place when we've all gone !

Unless you are in an except postage ores or selling in an excempt category, such as jewellery and watches.
Apparently.
Or, presumably, sending untracked. Though untracked suddenly seems a dangerous tactic, not just Kate payment but also a red light for people who never seem to get post - those people will have 'buyer protection' of course.

I use mostly large letter for small items which have been given to me by businesses or individuals which I sell in aid of three charities, two are Ebay for Charity registered.
Price £1 - £3. Currently, I use Royal Mail second class standard with Delivery confirmation £1.40, which eBay helped develop and recognise.
In the last year only one buyer has upgraded to tracked at £3.45.
When this starts an item at £2, add buyer fees then add £3.45. It is now not viable to buy it so eBay may just as well say they no longer want the private sellers who helped build the business. I can't see how I can continue raising funds for the charities on eBay. Does anyone know how the selling price would compare if I changed to a business. I am not a business but I have to say I am for buyers to even look at my items. Who is going to pay twice as much for postage as the item price? Even I offer them for the free ! (included postage it makes them more expensive than they need to be.

What Ebay do not understand is private sellers are also buyers which means if you do not sell you probaly will not also buy . But they will only discover that when the buisness sellers start kicking off about lack off sales . If you check the buisness board you will see many buisness sellers are complaining about the lack off sales .
