Option on sold listings to ‘send payment details’ has disappeared and I’m unable to send people invoices for combined orders like I normally do. I did a live chat with customer service, but I don’t really think they knew what I was talking about.
I have buyers waiting to pay, but are reluctant to pay for the entire postage cost in one go and have me refund due to the amount of money they would have in limbo.
anybody else having the same problem? Anyone at eBay able to confirm it’s being looked into so I can tell my buyers?

If you click on Combine Items you get the option to collate all items for the same buyer however it is not working at the moment you get this message:
Sending invoices is temporarily unavailable
We're working to fix this issue as soon as possible. In the meantime, if you want to send combined postage discounts, we recommend refunding the postage difference to your buyer after purchase.
At least this suggests that there will be an upcoming fix

That’s new! Thanks for letting us know, as you say, better than literally no communication up to now. Thank you.

Man this was the worst timing at least for my mental health lol
Fortunately the buyers who have bought multiple items are very understanding - hopefully it will be fixed in the next few days.

Mine too, so much wasted time. An eBay message out to buyers as they purchase explaining what’s going on would have been helpful for buyers, but that would be too easy I guess!

So the buyers decided to pay me and then I could refund the excess postage - on the plus side the items were all collated together so ebay is allowing them to pay for all items at once. On the downside the items were all shown as postage included in the price - all my items were the same weight and postage so easy to work out the maths but if they were all different that would have been a pain.

I'm not sure that this isn't further complicated by the "simple delivery". I bought 2 items for £2.00 each the other day and the seller was unable to combine them for postage purposes as ebay had already "helpfully" combined them but decided that an Evri solution costing £3.71 was the solution. A Royal Mail Large Letter at £1.55 would have been mine, and the seller's, solution.

Simple Delivery as it was initially advertised killed combined shipping.
The new terms released do "potentially" change some things, as in sellers now have "choices" but they allowed a caveat which means they are no guarantees.

Lets hope they keep those choices in place. How you set the postage is all part of your selling strategy after all.

Yes.
The same here.
And customer services also had no clue about what I was talking about.
Let's hope it's fixed soon.

It’s been a real pain, lost multiple sales over this now. Time and effort wasted.

eBay is really going to *!*! of late in my humble opinion. A once great selling platform, that I have bought on & sold on, since it's inception, is for me as a private seller, a shadow of it's former self. Every change they make seems to be a backward step for either sellers or buyers.

Completely agree, been selling and buying since 2008 and it’s just getting worse and worse as time moves on.

I’m having the same problem here. Does anybody have any updates? This is so frustrating!
24-02-2025 11:27 AM
Yeah sugardotcorner I've an update for you - I had a punter bought 2 items & the only way we could get around it was for them to pay the full postage on both & me to refund them the combined postage difference - £3.50 in this instance - only to then have eBay charge me 20pence for the privilege of doing so!!! I've let them know how disgusted I am...

How ridiculously cr*p is that? Please don’t tell me this will be the new process. I don’t think my head could cope with that. They’ll be hearing from me shortly. Thanks for the update

They don't want combined postage any more that's why simple delivery you sell 5 things for example they will get x5 75p and x5 postage and you will get 5 labels chosen by the buyer? Don't think so it will probably be chosen by a bot. I'm not using their labels but on checking recently it said buyer chose and i know they didn't because SD hasn't even been put onto listings yet
