Option on sold listings to ‘send payment details’ has disappeared and I’m unable to send people invoices for combined orders like I normally do. I did a live chat with customer service, but I don’t really think they knew what I was talking about.
I have buyers waiting to pay, but are reluctant to pay for the entire postage cost in one go and have me refund due to the amount of money they would have in limbo.
anybody else having the same problem? Anyone at eBay able to confirm it’s being looked into so I can tell my buyers?

Just saying , its still going on since February, wonder how many people have ditched their carts when they saw they were being charged postage on every item, this has lost a huge amount of sales this year for me

you could not make this up, we are all here to sell, the first most important thing to have up and running is the payment system, this is not the case, we are supposed to encourage more sales through combining the invoice so they only pay one charge, this is not the case, it has been broken all year. buyers enquire daily about paying too much postage and i say it will be returned and guess what, yes i never hear from them again, i wonder what the cost to me and other sellers really is over this. this is equal to making the emergency services use only public transport, you really could not make it up. my message to Ebay is simple, stop hampering us sellers we are here to sell.

I really miss the now defunct 'combine postage request' link at check-out because:
1. It had a standard layout and procedure. Straightforward for buyer and seller.
2. As using that link committed you to buy the items, you didn't need to worry how long it'd take. Now someone else can buy an item while you're waiting to hear - eBay, please introduce a mechanism to deal with this. Example below.
3. The only practical way now seems to just buy, or message at check-out (still means buy), or message in advance. And then trust that the seller will notice and do a part-postage refund and not forget. (No problem for me so far = good sellers.)
Example: Last week one order's uncombined postage was £27.69, on top of a £55.47 order. My top concern was whether another buyer would buy an item(s) while I waited, as items colour co-ordinated (or mostly, as each item was advertised as missing a few pages). But my seller was great and responded fast, refunding me £18.72 and I got all the items; but what if sellers can't reply for a day or two? How many buyers can't afford or won't want to afford to use this pay upfront method? How many buyers go and shop elsewhere? How many sales are being lost?

please check out my other items I will combine postage Unit not included Lots of new items being added
The content is there , but i feel that the source of the problem should be highlighted to any potential Buyer, remember ebay dont communicate with Buyers and the Buyer could conclude it is the Seller who has made such an error as not combining to make more monies, rather than the real culprit.
Correct sentiment though.

I sold an item late last night on best offer. On my page it says the buyer has requested an invoice.
When i click on send payment details i am informed that i cannot due to this item being sold under Ebays Simple Delivery...........

never make any extra money through postage costs i always refund any extra paid and always combine postage on multiple items through auctions
It's buy it now where there is no combine postage option thats when I refund
I would not suggest a reputable Seller would ever be deceitful to their Buyers - especially should they wish to be repeat Sellers with the specific Buyer, its just the scenario which ebay have deliberately created for ebay's own script for some reason.
Added to this none combined purchase scenario - the 'AUTO PAY' and its ramifications makes a mockery where i end up wishing i could add Sellers to a Blocked List.

I avoid buying and selling anything which appears as 'Offers'.
On my buying account my 'MY eBAY' is overwhelmed with Offers Which i always ignore, and would galdly block the Seller who they relate to should i be able to do so.

Correct me if i'm wrong but I think it's ebay who send these offers and not the seller.
Usually this is done by how you search for items or items you have in your watch list.
Yes it will be ebay who send these Offers, although maybe the Seller pays ebay to send the Offers (ebay tend not to do anything without being paid extra to do anything these days), but Buyers are not communicated with these days on any information apart from dictates.
Im very receptive to modifying how i search to stop Offers being sent to me.
Offers exclude Combined Postage i found sadly.
