Option on sold listings to ‘send payment details’ has disappeared and I’m unable to send people invoices for combined orders like I normally do. I did a live chat with customer service, but I don’t really think they knew what I was talking about.
I have buyers waiting to pay, but are reluctant to pay for the entire postage cost in one go and have me refund due to the amount of money they would have in limbo.
anybody else having the same problem? Anyone at eBay able to confirm it’s being looked into so I can tell my buyers?

I am having the same problem and am not prepared to ask my buyers to pay in instances where I combine postage and then have to sort out a refund. As it is, we have to wait 14 days for our money unless the item is sent 'tracked'. Has anyone heard when the problem will be fixed. Poor show for a large organisation; no fix and no further communication from Ebay!

ebay says IT ticket quotes 90 days. Suggest everyone with concerns directly contacts agents not bots to raise complaint

After I complained to eBay about this same problem I got a half hearted response that made nothing clear (as usual) & then 2 days later I receive an email from them forcing me to become a business seller! Someone here stated that eBay are trying to get rid of Private Sellers & force everyone to become business sellers & eBay to become like Amazon, it seems that may be true - I am listing 200 items a month (300 items a month recently, due to the spare time I had over Christmas & eBay increasing the allowance) & I am selling just 25 - 30 items a month including stuff from my recently deceased father's house & my own things. Most all items are vintage & some are new because they were either purchased & never opened or are multiples where we have both bought things we already had! How 25 - 30 items a month can be deemed a business seller I don't know. Nothing has been hidden from the taxman that I will add.
Sadly it looks like it's time for me to leave eBay, after 26 years, & sell these things on Vinted, Etsy & Facebook 😞

I spoke to Ebay this morning, they say the 'send invoice' is an ongoing issue and has been for a while, nothing to say when it will be fixed? only that they are working on it!!

Will not the '4 days or else' none payment strikes be happening now on unsuspecting , none deserving buyers sat waiting on sellers sending an invoice , who are waiting on the system being fixed?

This was the latest post from a Community Manager on the issue:
We are aware of the issue and its currently being looked at for a fix. We don't have an exact timescale right now but its being worked on.
In the meantime you may need to refund the shipping difference to your buyer after the purchase.

Only if the seller has selected automatic non payment strikes. Keeping it manual is an option (the best option IMHO) as it allows you to agree to late payments, or deal with situations like this.

In case you are unaware the ability to add the same tracking number to multiple items seems to have been disabled. Came up in the hourly chat yesterday.
That means they can't put proof of dispatch on secondary items.
The potential problems with that hopefully being obvious.
So being able to refund afterwards isn't actually of any help. It's more like a trap for the unwary.

To be honest , I always thought it wasn't possible to add the same tracking to 2 items unless they were combined at checkout.
Dave our Community Manager also said he thought this, and mentioned it on the Weekly Chat , as it stops fraudulent use of a tracking number showing multiple deliveries.

No, it was available via the app until just before I stopped my listings Feb 3rd. I could give an exact date for my last one by looking at Order history.
I've had a few multi buyers that ask me to delay shipping, for whatever reason and in that timeframe they buy something else too. I could always add the tracking number.
I only ever used Royal Mail 2nd Class Signed For or 48 Hour Tracked in case that makes any difference to the above.

Thinking about it further why would they encourage sellers to refund differences if something like that wasn't available.
If you stick everything in the same box but can only use a tracking number for part of it you'd never have proof of dispatch for part of the order.
Which the buyers would be able to see...
I think this may be one of these situations where CS don't have the right end of the stick, for whatever reason.
Similar to all the o es that told me via live chat that a buyer asking me to change delivery address via message was sufficient authority and Id still be covered. Still have the transcripts for those.

Aaah , there we go thank you, as I have never used the app , quite a surprise to hear it actually had one option which was not available on the PC / laptop.
dave@ebay and I then, have learnt something ! 😊

That is my experience, but using a browser on a PC, again RM 48 hour tracked. I haven't had the opportunity to try it over the last few days.

In case this is another factor all my 48 Hour Tracked labels were purchased via eBay. I took the QR codes to the post office.
You?

No, I buy my labels on the RM Click and Drop website, print them myself (then have my mail collected by my friendly postie).
The only time I have seen the issue of "this tracking number has already been used" was with Evri, and it is a fair while since I used them.

So in theory the break could still be service specific then.
I don't think the seller specified courier used on the community chat.
I'll see if I can find it and maybe send them a message asking.
Edit
I couldn't see any info in the post so messaged and asked.

I have been having this problem all week. A buyer of four items is reluctant to pay postage for each and then receive a refund as she is buying through her business and needs an invoice. I spoke to CS and was told the IT issue was being looked at but they had no timescale to offer. This is so unfair on both buyers and sellers. Any ideas what I can do next?

Not ideal but a workaround:
If you have a computer and a printer, create an invoice on your word processor and include it in the package.
Or even hand write one.

I encountered the issue of not being able to combine items or send invoices yesterday (Weds 26th Feb). In my live chat with an agent, I was told:
"Please accept my apologies, as this is a global issue wherein sellers are not able to send invoices, however, there's nothing to worry as this issue has already been taken over by the technical team and they are working on it. I am sharing your profile ahead with them, so yours will be done on high priority"
"This will take a minimum time frame of 24 hours and max time frame of 72 hours. Will usually be done sooner, however the max time is 72 hours".
Thankfully, my buyers were willing to pay for all the postage and get a refund. In one case, there were two separate payments from a buyer, but I COULD still cut and paste the tracking number for what appeared as two separate orders. This was using the ebay website (not the app), and using Royal Mail Tracked 48 .
I don't sell all the time, so I won't know if things are fixed for me in either 24 or 72 hours.
