No views

Where have all the buyers gone. I have listed some handmade items and some have had no views and no watchers in 3 weeks. They are not expensive all under £10 so I just find that strange as you would expect some views even if its only people browsing. I have promoted some but they have had only 1 or 2 views.

Either ebay is doing its old tricks of covering up items or ebay is dying. Etsy is the same.

I know people are not spending as much but now we are into Autumn I thought people would start thinking about Christmas or maybe they will buy last minute. I would still expect people to browse even if its only other sellers so to have no views in 3 weeks is suspicious.

I was logged out of my a/c when I did a bit of searching to see where my items were on 'the ladder'.  Some of them didn't show up!  I didn't expect them to be Best Match but I wanted them somewhere!  There were other similar items using the same search words.  It was only when I used more words from my title they showed up.  And despite only 2 words in the search that showed others mine weren't.  It's happened before.

But this platform has miffed off a lot of folks - with buyer protection fee instead of final value fees, Simple Delivery (I stopped selling for 2 months) and have only sold 3 items since I started back beginning of Sept.  I don't what the answer is.  Used to be better.  Waiting to see what eBay's 3rd quarter results are - it might prove illuminating.

But I have found September in the past to be quiet - lots of families are skint after the summer hols.

Currently you have no items listed so it is difficult to reply. I will say that eBay doesn't 'cover up' items but that the algorithm works to maximise sales (e.g. show people what their history says they want, as well as their search terms). There are was to get this to work in your favour - without paying for promotions - but it would be helpful to have actual Item examples to work from.

An educated guess is, you say "I have listed some handmade items" but you have a private account so buyers are paying unnecessary fees and that's a turn off.
