New seller protection starts 4th February

Wow...Is there a reason why ebay keeps changing there policy's for private sellers, im sure they think there doing you a favour, they keep saying seller's can sell for free it's such a gimmick.

Well I'm done with you this new change is gunna *bleep* alot of private seller's off, it's like there taking away are choices since when did the like of ebay take are power's away I don't need protection it's fine the way it is.

Your not making it easier for pri seller's at all your just wanting rid of us so you just have businesses running it ,you're messing about with the pri sellers rights all the time, well you can stick it and I hope other pri seller's do the same.

Unfortunately,  eBay do not venture forth to these boards so will not see your dislike of these new changes,  and indeed  shared by  many others,  you are not alone.

Join in on one of the many lively discussions on this board.

Im sure youre going to kept busy for some time with ebays latest insanity.

Ive got a couple or four of questions if i may.

Is this UK only with this fee on buyers, or was this rejected by members in the US recently?

When the Protection fee is added to the invoice, will that impact upon what is reported to HMRC on turnover for the seller?

How poor is ebays results on Buyer Protection currently to merit a who new procedure?

Is it projected this be extended to Business Sellers too once the dust settles?

Im sorry you as a mentor is left unpaid, whilst a host of none UK CS will be created with a wage to accommodate this.

You have some very good questions and I think only our Community Managers dave@ebay  marco@ebay   kat, would be able to answer.  They may be off duty today, but hopefully will see this tomorrow?

Getting paid as mentors !   Nope we don't as you know!  😊  We do it voluntarily, why??  Well, I do it just cos I like helping people, and feel it would be even better with no titles,  no ' helpfulls / kudos'  just a board where Anyone can come, everyone has different bits of knowledge and experience , to come here and  help others.

Just my humble point of view 🤗

Thanks very much for your answers - you do try to be as helpful as possible - i feel it immoral that you and most Mentors perform a task very well, CS however have a reputation around zilch, with very often members are directed to attempt to contact Ireland rather than the distant ones, do these 'script readers' merit a fee being levied from buyers to pay for their existence (it was muted the fee would be used to a software tweak, to resolve the issue - but that feels fanciful).

Community Managers - i await answers on these questions then, but ..... .
