Do other private sellers find this new Ebay seller policy a bad joke.
Firstly you are advised to send items by tracked postage which costs more.
Secondly you have to wait until a item is delivered and have to wait 2 extra days to access your funds.
Once a item is posted or collected it is out of a sellers hands but they have to wait up to possibly 5 days to access their funds while ebay get interest on all the money that they hold from sellers.
This policy needs changing as it penalises sellers like me who have been on ebay for 19 years.

I use my mobile phone that sends and receives emails, makes calls, and has Internet access.
As a private seller I have no intention of buying a computer or printer just to sell on ebay.
Then use that phone nobody is making you buy anything.
The app not working is a problem with your phone not being able to run the latest operating systems.
Ebay are not responsible for that. They are responsible for writing a release that will run on that update, and to run on older updates.

I have a printer so i could print it off if i chose (not going to however) but what about those who do not and like myself do not have a smart phone, laptop or any other of that kind of technology? I have my desktop so do you suggest that i should take that to the drop off point??

My original reply
You have a computer i other device you receive emails on yes.
You will get a QR code you then take to the post office or evri drop off point, they then give you a label.
#The other device is that phone you use to list with take that open the email a QR code will be attached use that the they will print your label no need for a computer or a printer.

You then have a problem but in term of members you are in a tiny minority, And no solution beyond spend a few quid and get a printer

I agree Kath.
I have a fairly decent phone that meets my needs.
It is just as simple to book a collection with Royal Mail.
They collect from me promptly and bring a printed label.
Now that is simple.

Sorry, I disagree with you. There is another solution. eBay sort this s**tshow out that they have caused themselves.
Nice and easy as long as they didn't delete all the old server information.

Thanks for your message.
Hopefully ebay will listen to fed up private sellers.
No chance. They don’t want us ‘old’ private sellers. They want shiny new ones like the vinted crowd. Unfortunately they’re offering these young new users a clunky old fashioned website with an app that doesn’t work. That’s what will put young people off, not buyer fees, extended payment dates and automated delivery.

Not all private sellers are shops.
I sell my personal items and like to choose who to use for postage etc regarding what is best for me.

That's exactly what it seems.
Been on ebay over 19 years. Close to 3,000 feedback ratings as a buyer and seller. A 100% rating. Yet that counts for nothing.

Dear fans of ebays new policies.
I honestly believe you are the minority apart from shops, and merchants etc.

Unfortunately you reluctance to update will eventually bite in the proverbial.
And i do sympathise with you but ebay have assumed allot of seller and buyers already have this basic tech.
Ebay have estimated sellers like yourself are in such a tiny minority they can role this out and will make absolutely no difference to them.
I refer to my one and only suggestion get a very cheap printer

Sorry that wasn't aimed at you.
It was for the people supporting ebays new policies not aimed at sensible private sellers.

You know what they say about assumption do you?
Guess it doesn't apply to eBay though.

I do agree with you there.
Private sellers may not be the best money makers by any means but maybe just maybe if enough private sellers complain or pull listings not just UK sellers then a policy maker with sense might just notice.

One can only hope i suggest work with what you have while it is still available (opt out of SD).
Then see where you are i can only suggest a very cheap printer that's all I've got for you.
