NO LONGER SELLING DUE TO SIMPLE DELIVERY

AS OF 15TH APRIL MY DAYS AS A PRIVATE EBAY SELLER WILL STOP AFTER 19 YEARS.

I AM FED UP OF THE GREED OF EBAY AND I HOPE OTHER EBAY SELLERS DECIDE TO NO LONGER LET THE EBAY CONTROL FREAKS HAVE THIS MUCH CONTROL OVER PRIVATE SELLERS.

NO LONGER SELLING DUE TO SIMPLE DELIVERY

I've sold 260 items on eBid in the last 60 days. Not as busy as eBay in its pomp, but easily outselling the eBay of today.

i think it depends on what you sell, mine are mostly clothing and have had 1 sale over the past couple of weeks since i started (that was a jigsaw) but i have had more views than i have had over the past few months on e bay.  I am just putting a few on each day and am getting more familiar with it, was confusing at first.  Have to wait 21 days for payment as a newbie but that is okay with me.  Hopefully the more private sellers go there the more it will get known about and used.  I had never heard of it until mentioned by 'theleench'.   What makes it worse is that i actually liked this site until they brought in SD which is one change too many for me.

NO LONGER SELLING DUE TO SIMPLE DELIVERY

Not sure which are the best alternatives to selling though, a certain other e-named site seems to want a high 'buy in' just to sell anything at all, well unless you are happy with a handful a month, and it doesn't seem to have a very active hobby community (Warhammer, RPGS and the like) anyway, but maybe the £60 would be worth it long term.  Not sure.

That's actually a fallacy.  That site has several models, you can instead pay a small fee for each listing.  I believe @theelench works this way still, after years of using it.  I can't advise further myself because I have the full deal.

Which I got free because I joined so early that perks were being handed out 20+ years ago.  I feel there's a lesson there.  Very probably, with a variety of new sites starting up, even though such sites look utterly hopeless today, it may be worth taking the long view and joining, giving them a try.  You never know, in a few years time when they've grown enough to be monetised, you might get an early adopter's special.

Ebay are living in very interesting times.
