NO LONGER SELLING DUE TO SIMPLE DELIVERY

AS OF 15TH APRIL MY DAYS AS A PRIVATE EBAY SELLER WILL STOP AFTER 19 YEARS.

I AM FED UP OF THE GREED OF EBAY AND I HOPE OTHER EBAY SELLERS DECIDE TO NO LONGER LET THE EBAY CONTROL FREAKS HAVE THIS MUCH CONTROL OVER PRIVATE SELLERS.

I don't want this platform to collapse totally unless a UK based platform started that was just like this used to be. I do however hope that they fail to attract enough of the high end users that they want which will affect the existing board and might just make them consider going back th what made this platform so good.

Yes...old fashioned ebay was so much better. These days is just a mess

Everything was so transparent and easy back then. Now it's all cloudy and new policies that are all based around wanting total control and giving users the option of like it or lump it.

I use RM website directly & get items collected from home & postie brings the label. Under the new ebay rules I would have to buy postage thru them (hoping they choose RM) then print a label & then go to RM website to get a collection! Collection via RM direct Tracked 48 up to 2kg is way cheaper than eBay's profiteering! I am in charge of my parcels & not eBay.

I will be also removing all my listings as well, just had enough of the stupidity, just simply let us sell our stuff. EBay have forgotten that the best way to make profits is to look after your customers! Good luck everyone

Well that other place is like ebay used to be but it's setting the clock back around 20 years which is a bit too far. I would ideally like it if there was somewhere like ebay used to be just a few years ago. It's sad that the Wikipedia list of the 50 most visited websites doesn't include a single UK based company.

I believe it is halved if you buy within a certain time frame of joining up.

Our  little local independent post office is losing out massively because they are commission based not salaried so the simple delivery is crippling them ,they still have to deal with the simple delivery parcels but get no money for doing so ,such a great post office too and greed will be an end for them . Who in their right minds works for nothing like this .

I absolutely agree. I pay and book a RM collection from RM online. Postie collects the following day from my home and brings the label. Hassle free and cheaper.

You are not kidding, total minefield! Well not much was broken but trust them to fix it as usual, all about control! Making me very stressed, very anxious, and I am so sad for all of us who will soon be going, serves them right!

I have brilliant service atm from my 2 posties, couldn’t ask for more, tell you what eBay just make life a bit more rubbish for your private sellers!

My post office had to close, I have a 15 mile round trip to get one now in either direction. They were doing work for no pay just as you mentioned above, and the town wondered why it closed! Was so handy, lovely people, happening a lot, very sad, we need a Mr Bates on here!

I didn't realise this. I guess that as having solely been a buyer on ebid for many years, I don't qualify for the discounted price 😞
