NO LONGER SELLING DUE TO SIMPLE DELIVERY

AS OF 15TH APRIL MY DAYS AS A PRIVATE EBAY SELLER WILL STOP AFTER 19 YEARS.

I AM FED UP OF THE GREED OF EBAY AND I HOPE OTHER EBAY SELLERS DECIDE TO NO LONGER LET THE EBAY CONTROL FREAKS HAVE THIS MUCH CONTROL OVER PRIVATE SELLERS.

There is no real indication what they might be or when if ever they will be made .

You really got things right. It is so annoying that selling successfully for 20 years or more isn't enough for this platform now. I don't think anyone truly knows the answer to what's happening here.

Surely they mean "Toe the ebay line and never say a word against them"

I remember an excellent Mentor who was stripped of her title and banned from the boards for life because she failed to advocate strongly enough for ebay.

Just the volume of individual posts tonight should be  a clear sign to Ebay  to scale of the problem they have created and  to which they done very little to react and or address. 

All Eve Williams has done today in inflamed a bad situation !

Maybe they are also realising that a lot of people have now joined other platforms.

If it was true that they took any notice of us, they would roll back from making SD compulsory, remove BPF and go back to sellers fees, and STOP FIDDLING with things that aren't broken.

Another own goal. No announcement for quite a while and then a announcement trying to take credit for things people have been saying in the forums for weeks. Definitely not a good move.

I see that the sales on ET     SY have fallen for sellers too  really badly and people are complaining about there being too much control on there too ,if a  buyer chooses a courier but the seller doesn't want to use that courier and changes it ,then ET   SY will cancel the transaction and the buyer is refunded and you have no sale .

I'd disagree.

She's trying to make it look like removing private sellers delivery options is something that has been requested by private sellers, when it was not requested by them at all.

Basically it was imposed by ebay so they can (at last after years of trying) impose tracked services and 2 day dispatch on all private sellers.  Something they've been trying to do for years and intensified the pressure when they introduced the Late Delivery Metric and again when they invented Fantasy Delivery Dates.

But because private sellers didn't do as they were told, ebay has now just said "Do it or F-Off".

Doesn't sound like ET     SY  sellers are fairing very well with sales since January ,lets hope that ET    SY and EB.Y don't join forces

Perhaps it's just a coincidence 🤣 that listings on ebid have increased by one-third since this last batch of restrictions on private sellers have been introduced.

If only there was a platform that didn't use BPF , SD  ,delayed payment etc as that would be a proper incentive to sellers etc  

I used to sell on a platform like that myself and had done for 22 years  !

Ebay you didn't know what you  actually had  !
