AS OF 15TH APRIL MY DAYS AS A PRIVATE EBAY SELLER WILL STOP AFTER 19 YEARS.

I AM FED UP OF THE GREED OF EBAY AND I HOPE OTHER EBAY SELLERS DECIDE TO NO LONGER LET THE EBAY CONTROL FREAKS HAVE THIS MUCH CONTROL OVER PRIVATE SELLERS.

Am I going mad, weren't existing listings supposed to change over to "simple" delivery today? I've just checked some of my listings and they are all still set to custom delivery. Let's hope they have seen the backlash and have decided not to go ahead with this ridiculous update.

Just took all my listings down before they swap them all over.  I’ll keep the account open in case they ever see the light (although not holding my breath) but I’m now looking at other platforms. Is ebid any good? Anyone have recommendations for others?

An updated option to use based on your post.

occasionally all eBay need to change are 2 things. Bring back seller fees, allow combined invoices and give back sellers the right to choose the most convenient tracked courier service for themselves due to economics, packaging needs, convenience, remoteness, collection, transport or disabilities . All now ignored.
Ebay was the "go to" tried and trusted platform for so many years.
What have you done eBay? Vinted and other platforms must be utterly delighted.

I think you may find that if you receive any bids on them or they sell as a BIN your postage options will change. I may be wrong but don’t be deceived!

Existing listings will gradually go over to SD between 7th and 14th April.

Well hopefully with so many removing their listings it would help them make the changes quicker so people giving them the benefit of the doubt will be able to see what a mess it's become.

I’ve been using eBay for 20years, it has been a great selling platform. However, the latest Simple Delivery changes do not  offer a better service for the seller or the buyer,  and are the final straw. Where do we go to sell now?

Wishful thinking that there will be a U turn.

eBay did say they will SLOWLY be rolling out the changes to SD on existing listings today , so yours may not have had the change.

I just have to wait and see results here from others,  as I've delisted all mine.

It would be interesting to hear if anyone has had any of their listings amended from custom postage to SD by eBay yet? I keep checking mine but nothing yet. If I see it happening to any of my listings that my cue to delist. Before I remove the lot on the 15th, which will be my liberation day from fleecebay/greedbay.

Sensible move. If they get even more complaints it will justify removing our listings.
