AS OF 15TH APRIL MY DAYS AS A PRIVATE EBAY SELLER WILL STOP AFTER 19 YEARS.
I AM FED UP OF THE GREED OF EBAY AND I HOPE OTHER EBAY SELLERS DECIDE TO NO LONGER LET THE EBAY CONTROL FREAKS HAVE THIS MUCH CONTROL OVER PRIVATE SELLERS.

I've added that my last 4 listings are ending on the 6th onto the listings themselves.

What you've put are exactly the same as my thoughts. A UK platform would have looked into who else this effect on sellers and buyers would have. All these enforcements have done them no good whatsoever.

So many private sellers are buyers too like myself and so it's a 2 way hit for me.

I have said it before, SD should be STD, ie: a thing that nobody wants

I'd imagine it's quite frustrating for ebay employees seeing their employer making such obvious and incredible mistakes.

I totally agree. The way things are going there won't be many listings for them to enforce SD onto.

It must be awful for them to try and explain the mess that the management have made. This is where the autobots will come into play much more.

I was still a 'net spender' on ebay despite cutting back on purchases following the buyer tax but since this announcement they haven't seen a penny of my money. At least my credit card bill will be less pages this month!

At this present time the only main use for me on this platform is if I can't find something elsewhere or if it's a extortionate price.

Speaking from my perspective, people are offering but deducting the cost of the so called buyers protection (complete racket that one and they do NOT get anymore protection than they had before anyway) off of what they would have offered and quite frankly I don’t blame them at all

Thank you, I will be looking into those 😁

Plus they seem to have overlooked that a lot of the bigger business sellers have their own websites and it's so much easier and cheaper to buy direct.

I bet they thanked you for your loyalty though, they always do! Pah! Empty words!

Bahahahahahahahah 😁

A UK platform would have at least have known how the postage system and Royal mail actually worked. This lot do not have a clue.

Oh yes, I used to buy bubble wrap, mailing bags etc, can get them cheaper elsewhere and I will, lost my sales and purchases.

Another control is ebay are trying to force people to be business sellers so they don't have to use SD ,but I wouldn't hold my breath that the business sellers won't get forced into this mess ,especially when so many private sellers leave .My sales have been very poor since christmas so the fee for being a business seller would be more than my sales .
02-04-2025 6:32 PM
My sales too, do you blame people for not wanting to pay the BP. I think it’s a disgrace, another way ebay line their pockets!
02-04-2025 6:33 PM
So true. There is no way they can compare our postal service to theirs.

So many business sellers moaning about private sellers ,lets see what happens now when private sellers numbers drop ,Ebay will have to make up the losses someway
