NO LONGER SELLING DUE TO SIMPLE DELIVERY

AS OF 15TH APRIL MY DAYS AS A PRIVATE EBAY SELLER WILL STOP AFTER 19 YEARS.

I AM FED UP OF THE GREED OF EBAY AND I HOPE OTHER EBAY SELLERS DECIDE TO NO LONGER LET THE EBAY CONTROL FREAKS HAVE THIS MUCH CONTROL OVER PRIVATE SELLERS.

I don't drive so the RM collection was great for me.

I know the latest changes announced say that RM collection will be something that can be done.

However firstly I had no problems dealing with RM direct and secondly I don't see why I should pay more because of SD when I had a more trusted service and a better price when dealing with RM direct.

I don't think it will take very long before it's proven that in some cases the grass isn't greener on the other side but it's only a muddy field.

probably the final nail in the coffin of my selling with them.

just made a load of sales and found i am blackmailed in to having to post with them, when i dont just want to. postman brings my labels and collects. i dont have a printer (nor want one) and i dont want to stand in a post office. 

hope it changes,,, of thats it for me.

That's exactly what worked for me. RM collection and they brought the label and the price was cheaper than me doing exactly the same thing apart from having to use SD which is more expensive.

so much muddles and mix ups and errors ,it was never like this before ebay tried to introduce SD and BPF . The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing .

I think they either look at some threads or posts or get told about certain ones.

I only believe that because of the latest announcement saying "we are listening"

So Far it's only taken since the 31st March and taken thousands of posts in the forums to be told that.

And now because of clever wording it's been made to look like we're being given what we wanted.

Instead of a admission that these latest amendments should have been there in the first place.

You shock me...having to go to a shop or a locker to collect your package?  This knocks out anyone in the countryside away from urban centres, everyone who does not drive/elderly house bound types. Also of course, Royal mail COLLECT from those of us who cannot get to post/ agents/lockers. for free!! Their postal sizes are about the worst bit about them...very light but over 1 inch thick objects have to go as small parcels at extra cost.  LL2

why not? Why wouldn’t they be?

in my last 20 sales all sent by Evri, 100% arrived (as did the previous 20-30). The tracking is regularly updated and swift. 

conversely I’ve had things go missing with RM, and things arrive when the tracking says otherwise. 

for me SD Evri is cheaper than “normal” Evri (like for like about £1.30 cheaper), the label process with SD is simpler and quicker than “normal” Evri. And finally you get you money quicker (as soon as delivery and positive feedback). 

it is slower than normal Evri - by at least a day based on two occasions I sent SD EVRI and normal Evri at the same time. 

I admit nearly all my items are small parcel rather than large letter which is causing some members no little concern. I weigh my parcel against eBay’s “guess” at launch and so far all have been correct.

Your experiences with evri are obviously better than mine. Packages arriving in shabby condition, packages delivered left in unsafe places. That's the difference between posties who get a wage and just about anyone with a car being paid by the parcel.

At no stage would I recommend evri and at no stage would I use them.

It's just a case of personal choice and personal experience.

when you go to a shop as a buyer you have to pay for goods before leaving and if you haven't got the money the shop keeps the goods you can't take them and pay later . So I don't know why ebay are holding our money for 2 days after delivery comfirmation . Sometimes Evri don't pick up parcels from shops for days and like yesterday the parcel shop couldn't take any more parcels because they were overwhelmed because of the Bank holiday weekend and there had been no pick up .so we had to drive a few more miles to the next evri parcel  shop and luckily they were able to take the parcels ,but it cost us extra fuel to go to next shop ,so we are not happy .

You forgot to add that it would also cost more for a awful lot of sellers.

The 30p? I'm not worried about that as i have no choice with no transport and not able to get to a post office. That's a RM thing anyway for everyone who gets collection

That wouldn't surprise me because the changes made initially were a shambles.

As I have possibly said a few times before,  the so called safety tax not only doubles up the safety that RM give on tracked items included, but of course makes our items more expensive,  so you are losing the benefit of no commission charges. So you either have to lower your prices & NOT include postage in the price, (you are being taxed a few pence on this) OR refund the tax to your customers as a moral offer. The few that I have done this to have given me very good feed backs on it!! However with the number of items that I have, it makes it impossible to add info re this on all entered before this new idea was released!!I do some odd ones when I come across them because of some query but basically,  every item is around 10% on low prices to around 6% on higher priced item more expensive than those offered by various wholesalers/Businesses.LL2

It would still work out cheaper than SD for me even with the 30p.
