AS OF 15TH APRIL MY DAYS AS A PRIVATE EBAY SELLER WILL STOP AFTER 19 YEARS.
I AM FED UP OF THE GREED OF EBAY AND I HOPE OTHER EBAY SELLERS DECIDE TO NO LONGER LET THE EBAY CONTROL FREAKS HAVE THIS MUCH CONTROL OVER PRIVATE SELLERS.

Yeah I'm expecting ebay to have arranged for a member of the royal family to deliver it at that price.
Hopefully buyers will understand and not give negative feedback if it's Harry or Andrew as they need the money.

You'll automatically be opted in to use all carriers that are available in this programme. If you would prefer not to send your items with a particular carrier, go to the Simple Delivery settings in your Postage preferences and adjust the toggle next to the carrier.
It's important to remember that excluding carriers may make your items available to less buyers and the delivery costs may increase. Also, if you need to have your items collected, you'll need to update your settings to exclude Evri.

Like blackmail

It is blackmail and theft. Ebay can go do one. They change the payout proceedure, if you post something thats not trackable you have to wait 14 working days - and if trackable after 2 days of delivery - buyer protection fee which is there way of getting seller fees back as its the same percentage - it's all stacked in their favour. Not for me. Ended my listings and I am done. Ciao Ebay
With regards to the request for your NI number eBay are just complying with their legal obligations, so I don't think you can blame them for that.
Yes they were hacked a few years back but I'm pretty sure they will have taken steps following that to strengthen their security.
Also, not sure how you make out the BPF to be the same percentage as the seller fees?

Excluding evri doesn’t make your items unavailable to anyone at all so why are prices increasing for RM when you deselect evri
bad logic
09-04-2025 9:00 PM
yes it is like blackmail and ebay say that your listings won't be so available for buyers to see if you opt out of a courier
09-04-2025 9:03 PM
I see the dumpster fire is still burning!!
09-04-2025 9:05 PM
If you opt out of royal mail then sURE your items might not be available to everyone as evri doesn’t deliver everywhere
so do evri prices increase when you’ve removed Royal Mail?

Yeah I think I saw something that suggests they do but only by a little as ebay clearly wants you to still use Evri.
It's just a monstrosity.

Depending on which carrier you choose, the cost of your labels can be paid from your available funds, PayPal or your on-file payment method.
09-04-2025 9:14 PM
Then that’s unfair on Royal Mail buyers and sellers who want to make a choice but are financially penalised for doing do
discriminatory
morally it’s all so wrong too
you know that thing a lot of people still care about
honesty, stuff like that
things which should be important to a business for it to be successful in the round
09-04-2025 9:18 PM
That is the message ebay sent out ,not me saying it .My logic is I don't need evri to view Ebay and I don't need RM to view ebay so why do ebay say if you opt out of one of the couriers your listings may not be available for buyers to see
09-04-2025 9:18 PM
I think it’s something about whether the others can handle the volume of business ebay produce
but yeah maybe they were asked and said no 🤣🤣

Yup that's why it was my question in the chat this week. Marco gave me an answer that suggested their policy on RM pricing is being looked into.
This week I paid £3.29 when I chose RM tracked 48 for an order at the place ebay is doing a bad impersonation of. Nobody asked for ebay to create a horrible second rate clone.

Love the way they say "all" carriers, as if there's a long list of options. They should really say "both" carriers.

Yes I know it wasn’t you saying it, I was asking the question as if I was talking to eBay
re not being available for buyers to see…no…I don’t think they said that
they are saying your listings may not be available for buyers to buy if you remove one carrier….which is ONLY true if you deselect Royal Mail because evri can’t do deliveries throughout the whole country
So the announcement is misleading/false imo

Any of mine that didn't sell (when I was selling) I just put on our front wall. Most things go. It's a good way of not having to trek to the charity shop who would just chuck some of them out as they're rather fussy.
09-04-2025 9:26 PM
Having been told by Kat of Ebay that labels are here to stay I probably, well no, I won't be back. I've got about £200 worth of stamps sitting in my drawer.

This is the address for CEO or Royal Mail emma.gilthorpe@royalmail.com
Its difficult to see how they are not complicit in this shabby deal that excludes your local sub postmaster from selling you postage for Ebay packages . Haven't our sub masters already suffered enough when they supply a vital community service
What Emma Gilthorpe need to understand is if Ebay private seller package sale drop dramatically as a result of any dodgy deal it will be Royal Mail and her leadership in the spotlight as well
As a seller I have spent just shy of £800 pound with the royal mail in this financial year , mostly bought through Ebay website . Compared to Ebay sales charges the Royal Mail have been making double the amount from business we generate and that will cease from next week .
If you have got time just drop Emma an Email 🙂

That’s just sad that eBay can dictate that people can’t use bought legitimate tender to post their items that they bought to sell on ebay because one day it was fine the next day it wasn’t
and yes we have had months notice of simple delivery but NOT months notice of all the details which still haven’t been finalised so also community team staff have to struggle to answer people’s queries
🥸🙄🙄🙄🙄
