More Woes with Not-So-Simple-Delivery

So this morning I decided to add a few things - not that it will make much difference cos I haven't had a sale since I was 'volunteered' for Not-So-Simple-Delivery (going on 11 days now!).  Used to have one or two a week.

I use 'sell similar'.  Always have.  But when I went to make a new listing changing the title, category, etc., despite my account preferences set to Royal Mail ticked and Evri not, I discovered that every sell similar listing now has both ticked and I have to change my new listing to each time:

- 3 days dispatch (not eBay's recommended 2 days) cos I'm a human 'bean' and not a robot!

- Royal Mail only.

- 'Seller Pays' - as I provide inclusive postage.

Each and every listing now takes even more time.  When I was selling in Golden Oldie days (i.e. June 2025!), and when I had a choice, that info was carried over and I only had to ensure my listing was accurate in the title, item specifics, description and price.

I also listed an item for £9.95 inclusive of postage.  But I was only offered Not-So-Simple-Delivery Royal Mail Large Letter < 1kg + small parcel, etc.  Where is the <£10 option for custom postage?  It is NOT offered on my listing.  Is is only for certain categories?  My item is in clothing - weighs <250gm.  I have already tried to find the relevant categories on Help & Contact.  When I listed it I put it at £8.91 cos the buyer protection fee was stated as £1.08.

I think the up to £10 option for custom postage also has to be a letter-sized item, so unfortunately, clothing would not fit into that category - unless it happened to be clothes for a small doll... 😄

The small, under £10 exemption only applies in certain categories (list here) and to make the Custom Postage show you have to enter a price of less than £10 FIRST.

Small clothing items for babies, dolls and even thin T-shirts all fit into a Large Letter, even some baby bedding, etc.  I use A4 size self seal plastic bags to compress the item so it fits easily in a Large Letter RM slot.  Weights range under 100gm, often under 250 gm and occasionally under 750gm.

The item (as stated in my listing) is £8.91!  That's less than a tenner.  Saved as a draft, reactivated and still sitting at LL <1kg with no option of custom postage.

I don't believe they have clarified if 'Letter Sized' actually includes 'Large Letter'

Thanks I checked that first!  Appears exemptions in 'clothing' only refers to:

Clothes, Shoes & Accessories (e.g. Hair Accessories, Wallets) - not any actual clothing!🙄

LL cheapest is now £2.72!

'Over the coming months, Simple Delivery will become the only delivery method available for private sellers when posting eligible items. Simple Delivery will be optional for items priced £10 and under, letter-sized, and in certain sub-categories.'

At the moment, they are only saying letter-sized, not large-letter...
