I have been told to verify my bank account used by eBay. On the app it told me it will take 3-5 days. Now according to eBay I have received the microdeposits and need to enter them, but I have not received them, I checked my bank and everything

We've just had and still having some Bank Holiday periods so your micro deposits may be delayed.

Do keep checking your bank account they do suddenly appear  they're only small a few pence each so easily missed.

If they don't appear by mid week contact CS to send 2 more.

I strongly recommend contacting CS 8 a.m. on a weekday when the lines open for ' live agents' as then, there's more chance of Dublin answering.

It's not easy to get through to CS, you just have to have perseverance! Instead of a quick option, 'Contact Us' which put you direct to a CS agent, you have to scroll past ' How Can We Help you today, to the very bottom and click on the Contact Us below Need More Help?

That takes you to an annoying AI bot but if you persevere keep asking questions it cannot answer and Insist on an agent, they do finally put you through and say .... waiting time ** minutes!

I've been to contact my natwest bank online and the bank has told me they cannot see that I have received any microdeposit and that they told me they have not blocked it either

Contact CS tomorrow, as I have described above, and ask them to send 2 more micro deposits.

Which bank Holidays? Christmas is over and so is boxing day. The microdeposits verification process by ebay began yesterday and its now Sunday still haven't received anything

BACS don't process saturday or sunday either ftr. Mine took 3 full days when i did mine for revolut. It is a BACS transfer as well, dunno why.

Is there any source showing that the microdeposits are BACS payments

Dunno. I just know they were for me. That's why i ended up asking for them to be sent again and kicked myself cuz i saw the first ones appear in 3 days. I'm 100% sure they are tho as usually they don't need to do them unless u have an account they can't verify easily immediately with trustlayer or something.

It can take up to 5 working days for the two micro deposits to show in your bank account. I also suspect that the recent bank holidays have caused some kind of delay.

Yeh I mean i've only needed the microdeposits for Revolut. For some reason, ebay couldn't verify it instantly like it could with my monzo, natwest or hbos.

So did you go through the same thing I'm going right now? Where eBay has claimed to send the deposits and given you the option to enter the exact amounts but you haven't received anything? And then days later you did?

Yeh i did but i expected those microtransactions to appear instantly so i said they didnt arrive and sent them again and then the first ones appeared 3 days later. That's when i realised they must be bacs transfers. It was only Revolut i had to do it with cuz my other accounts they could connect to. Revolut they were baffled with so had to go down the micro transaction route.  They'll appear mate, prob tomorrow or wed latest.

Oh, so even when eBay gave you the option to fill out the amount they gave you, you still hadn't received it but got it days later?

Yes. It lets u put them in immediately but obv can't do them till your bank shows them

Is this normal, the microdeposits came I verified my bank. I saw in my balance I had lots of money available to withdraw on the app, but not on the website, but anyways I didn't withdraw anything to my bank yet and a few minutes later my eBay balance says £0.00. I hope this isn't just me

Never-mind it seemed like a glitch happened, my eBay balance has come back in full. Technical glitches when it comes to money are the worst lol

Thanks to all the three people who assured me the deposits will come eventually and they did after 3 business days. Now my bank is verified, thanks everyone for informing me
