LACK OF FEEDBACK, COMMUNICATION etc … ARE eBAY BOTHERED ?

How many other sellers are finding that feedback from buyers have reduced to an all time low.

Feedback seems not to carry the clout it once did and I personally feel that eBay are not promoting its value anyone.

As one community poster stated, eBay are probably happy to benefit from this this lack of apathy to feedback being left as they can hang onto sellers funds for up to 14 days thus earning themselves a large amount of accumulating interest across their platform.

eBay with other restrictive practices recently put in place (BPF, SD etc) would appear to have lost a lot of support and respect from both sellers and buyers.

The alarming outcome to this is that they, eBay don’t seem to be bothered at all.

This is confirmed by their alarmingly lack of updates, communication etc.

Feedback does not carry much clout these days.

People are now so used to buying stuff on line from loads of sites that don't have 'feedback' as such.

Buyers just trust that the payment is secure and expect the item to arrive.

And 99.99% of the time it's just fine.

When ebay started up it was a bit of a 'wild west', and feedback was one of the few ways to see if you were going to get ripped off or not.

It's not like that now, so feedback can be seen as a bit of an anachronism, and when things go well, lots of people can't be bothered. And they don't want to be chased for it either.

(This is where ebay could make a difference by installing an 'item delivered' button similar to the one on V int ed..I think? )

It was also handy when you could leave it (neg) for buyers that rip you off but eBay thought all buyers were angels

I still look at feedback

if a seller has less than average I tend to avoid

and I give it always to sellers cos they have listed packed done what it said on the tin so only courteous

all I can say about buyers is good buyer , might add friendly and other stuff lol
