Hello, an item I sold has had 2 failed delivery attempts by RM . Address is correct, buyer has been sent tracking details and advised item is available for collection but they have not responded to me. In the meantime the payment is on hold. Tried to work through eBay help with success so would appreciate advice. Thanks

There is nothing more you can do now. But if your buyer opens an Item not Recived case, provided you have loaded the tracking details into the transaction the case will close in your favour. Ebay sees attempted delivery as successful delivery.
Yoor funds will still be released to you although you may have to wait the full 30 days.

Have you entered the tracking numbers where you marked the item as dispatched? If not , do so now.
Attempted delivery is the same as delivery in eBay's eyes.
Contact eBay Customer Services, provide this information for them, that tracking has shown 2 delivery attempts, you have informed the buyer they need to collect the item from their sorting office, buyer can also just ask for it to be reposted, and please can CS release your funds as you have done all, and everything you can from your end of the transaction.
This is the easiest and quickest way to contact eBay Customer Services from the link below, for a Call Back option. I do recommend contacting CS very first thing in the morning when the lines first open, as there's more chance of Dublin answering

When you posted the item to the buyer did you include an "If undelivered please return to..." address on the back of the parcel? If so then you ought to get the item back again at some point if Royal Mail cannot deliver the parcel to the recipient.
In the event that you do end up with the item being returned to you as a result of failed delivery refund the buyer's money in full, citing "Problem With Buyer's Address" as the reason why. If, however, the buyer opens an Item Not Received case against you then, as has already been said, if the tracking shows attempted or successful delivery to the address that the buyer provided at Checkout then the case will be decided in your favour.
Should you receive the item back again at some point then refund the buyer's money in full so as to ensure that the first buyer does not end up out of pocket and end up feeling as though you connned him/her out of the money that he/she paid for the item. However, if you decide to relist the item for sale again then I would advise adding the buyer's User ID to your Blocked Bidders List first of all and waiting for a period of at least forty-eight hours before relisting the item for sale again. The reasoning behind this is because it takes forty-eight hours for the blocks to kick in if you decide to block a buyer with whom you have recently been in a transaction. Once this period of time has passed the buyer will not be able to purchase the item from you again if you decide to relist it, nor would that buyer be able to purchase anything else that you may have listed for sale on the site.
