Is this a scam? £150.00 for taking part in an eBay zoom call.

I have received an email that looks as if it comes from eBay offering me £150 for 90 minutes of my time taking part in a zoom call taking about eBay?  Has anyone else received this message and is it genuine?

@dancewithadingo

Was it similar to this one I received in May?

Initial thoughts and a search using AI brought this up:

'Yes, this is very likely a scam. eBay does not pay individuals £150 to join Zoom calls, and such offers often aim to steal personal information or money.'

A few things to check, where was the e mail sent to? Your personal e mail or through Ebay. Does it mention you by name?

If in doubt, call CS. If they say it's true, tell them I will be next in line for £150 payout!

Hi Jo

Yes it is. I was going to give it a wide berth and you have just made my mind up. Thank you.

Good Morning Cobweb

Thanks for that. It was sent to my email address and didn't appear in My eBay notifications. Like Jo I haven't got a clue about zooming.
