I’ve just copied this from a latest updates thread posted by eBay on 17th July.

Home collections with Simple Delivery

We’re excited to share that you can now book a Royal Mail home collection directly on eBay, at no extra cost. Once booked, the courier will automatically bring your prepaid label when they come to pick up your item, no printer required.

Can anyone verify that this is actually working please? I don’t want to use it then have Postie turn up to collect without a label.

I just noticed this too when I was arranging a collection. I would love to know if it works as well...I also don't want to risk it! I really hope they have sorted it.

Worked OK for me about 10 days ago, so actually before the 17 July announcement.

I’ve only sold 1 item with SD. It said bring my label was available but then said it wasn’t as I got further into it 🙄  This was about a month ago.

Makes me nervous of trying it again.

It was only for my last sale that I noticed that bring my label was available. In fact, maybe because I'd clicked on the RM home delivery icon before the eBay label one, it was assumed that I didn't want to print it myself.  

I'll look more carefully next time (if there is one ...).

I'm getting something collected tomorrow, I've printed the label at my partners work just in case but I'll try to catch the postie to see if they had bought a label. I'll let you know!

I have just used simple delivery for the second time and picked the bring my label option because its 5 miles to a Post Office..

The postie turned up this morning minus my label ,so now its a case of print my own label and go to the post office at my expense.

Not impressed, especially as previously I could just do it, the label turned up and he picked the parcel up. Now that really was simple !

Thank you, this is what I’m worried about! I think I’ll hang on to custom postage for as long as I can.

Regarding your collection, can you just rebook it if you’re able to print your own label? I know it won’t get collected until tomorrow now and will cost you 30p but that’s cheaper than the drive to the post office.

Meanwhile, at least you could register your displeasure by getting a callback from CS.
