Invoicing and buyer protection fee

So I've sold two items to one buyer today and I'd like to send them a combined invoice.  The items are not under Simple Delivery as they're ineligible so I can send the invoice.  Will eBay add their BPF  to the invoice I send or do I need to add it myself?  The invoice shows the amount without the BPFs included when I begin to generate it.  I'm not convinced it's safe to send it "as is" as BPF would take the whole amount!  (They were very cheap and sadly not under the reduced BPF amount).  Any clues?

Re: Invoicing and buyer protection fee

Hi anne.craig, thanks for your post.

Just to confirm, you'd need to enter the amounts as usual in your invoice, and then the BPF will be calculated and added on top of it for the buyer, it all happens automatically, so you won't have to worry about that as it will be seen from the buyer's end only. Then you will be able to see it in the breakdown of the transaction in question.

Thank you,

Marco

Re: Invoicing and buyer protection fee

Logically on your invoice you should only include what you sold them for - the ebay element is between buyer and ebay  - theoretically a seperate transaction.

Any buyer fee or transaction fee from ebay should show on the buyer's account  and really is not your concern.

The reasoning is that if you invoice ebay fees to the buyer it will show that theoretically you received them  as part of your remuneration - this could only be eliminated from your income by ebay invoicing you - which is not a possibility as the fees are between the buyer and ebay

If it is the 2 Nail polishes, eBay will take Buyer's Fees.

Re: Invoicing and buyer protection fee

Thank you Marco, I was just concerned that if I made an invoice without the BPF it would be sent to the buyer as written!  This clarifies perfectly.
