I want to start selling on eBay UK, some questions need to know before start

1.  Do I need a business account or can sell as individual ?

2. If I use a business account, do I need a VAT number (my company is non UK business) ?

3. If I don't need a VAT, does eBay will collect VAT from customer and provide VAT Number  ?

4. Business VS Individual which one will better for future business ?

If you are buying items to sell or selling all new items then you'll need a business account.

As you are based in Hong Kong best to ask certain questions to the community on the b.com site as rules may be different and ask eBay Customer Services here for details on VAT registration.

You will have to register your account through the .com site.

The rules will depend on the site you are registered on.
