I’m confused about eBay’s simple delivery. Can I get an item collected without a printer?

It says “the courier will bring the label with you when they collect your item” but when you book the collection, there’s no option to tick for them to bring a label. 

I booked a collection the other day and the RM guy turned up but had no label.

What gives?

I'm not the best person to answer your question, but it's got overlooked so I'll give it a go and perhaps someone will correct me if I wrong.

Re Royal Mail - if you were booking direct with RM, they can bring you a label (it's now 30p).  However, if you are using Simple Delivery and so have to book via ebay, they don't bring a label.

If you haven't got a printer, you can use a QR code at the Post Office if you have a smart phone (or take your computer).  The Post Office will then print a label for you.

You can print a label at an Evri outlet in theory, but I've read that they don't always work.

Hopefully the above is correct, but please someone correct me if not.

I don’t think a single soul has confirmed that they can book a collection through eBay with bring my label (I mean that it actually worked) despite eBay saying yes it’s an option

Worked okay for me last week.  Postie brought the label for my Simple Delivery parcel (RM Tracked 48).
