Back in December I bouught a Macbook Pro. It seemed absolutely fine but when I decided to sell it on as the memory wasn't as big as I felt I needed, I tried to clear the macbook only to discover that it was MDM locked. I read that uninstalling the OS may help but it hasn't and the macbook is now useless. I've also spent £70 trying to get it fixed. It was 4 months ago so I can't seem to return it even though the description said nothing about it being MDM locked. What can I do?

If you can access the device then you should be able to remove it.
Failing that, if you paid with a debit or credit card within the past 120 days you can issue a not as described chargeback via your card provider.
Or, if you paid with a credit card direct via eBay checkout (not via PayPal) you'll be able to issue a Section 75 chargeback, even if you've gone past 120 days.
