How to get buyer address outside Simple Delivery?

I see that when I list model cars eBay decides on the postal rate (which is usually incorrect at around £2.80 instead of £3.90). So it seems I am paying eBay's postal fee of £2.80 and then I have to pay £3.90 at the post office.

I guess there's no way to avoid Simple Delivery, and what's annoying is that the buyer's address is hidden, so I have to access the eBay label to find this out. Presumably if I didn't access it I'd still be charged eBay postage. I question the transactional legality of all this nonsense. A buyer's address should immediately be accessible.

It's very simple to get the buyers address without purchasing a label.

Ok, when you sell an item, you will see three boxes appear when you click on get prepaid label. On the fist box click on the icon on the top right corner, and there you have the buyers address without making a label purchase. Are you with me Simpson. So simple.

It's even simpler - if ebay recommends a size/weight band, the label is valid. Doesn't matter what price you would normally pay to the PO or Evri; compared to what ebay is charging the buyer or seller.

The only exception is the package must be under the absolute maximum weight and size. https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/selling/posting-items/setting-postage-options/simple-delivery?id=5575#se...

Note, if you choose a different option or manually enter a size/weight band which does not cover the size or weight of the package, then you could be charged the difference plus a fee.
