How to become private account

OK so having registered 22.5 years ago at some point in the past I must have changed the account into a business one, OK I've only got 200 @ 100% feedback but 99% of that was private sales and purchases.

My wife just sold a pair of shows having seen the "free listings now" using the family ebay account and from a £45 + £2 postage is going to see £30.47  having

She put on 2 items and the "Sub title (optional)" which costs £2.40 does NOT tell you there is a fee for it except when you actuall accept the listing it shows total fee.

Crazy.

So yes I could start with a fresh new ebay account but why should I?  How can I convert it to a personal account like it should have remained?

Re: How to become private account

Computer says no.

As far as eBay are concerned I think it is to prevent fee evasion, especially at the moment, where private seller list for free. Business sellers would love to be able to turn their high feedback accounts into private accounts to take advantage of free listings....

Re: How to become private account

So I gather. Why?  A decision made probably 15-20 years ago, probably at the insistance or suggestion of ebay means I have to ditch my 22 year old account and feedback to start again.

Again. Why?

Re: How to become private account

Only reason not been an issue is was only an occasional seller of "bits" and mainly purchaser which if you can see history is not business related.  It's just the family ebay account.
