Hey all,
I’m sure this has already been answered but I cannot seem to find it.
I have sent an item through RM whose eBay tracking states Running Behind Schedule,
the buyer has opened a case for this, and I wanted to see if anyone had any advice.
Buyer purchased 14/10 - Item was posted 15/10 - Delivery estimate was Thu 17 Oct - Sat 19 Oct - case raised 20/10.
The item is low value so I can refund if needed but if I do it just means the item is free as its still on route.
any help on what I can do would help massively.
Thank you.

What Royal Mail service did you use? Also, what does the tracking state on Royal Mail's website?

it seems that

I think buyers are getting more & more trigger happy & rude when it comes to deliveries.
My most recent order, last Thursday, posted same day, got a Neg yesterday, Sunday "I haven't received it yet"
When I contacted the buyer he simply messaged back "Its the Truth"

Hey, I only used RM 2nd class. And the tracking site just shows the standard messaging of no update until an attempt to deliver.

It seems to me that Royal Mail are deliberately slowing down second class deliveries perhaps preparing for the inevitable 3 days a week delivery they are demanding.

Thanks all I really appreciate you guys taking the time to answer like I said the item I sold was of low value so I am able to take the hit and learn the lesson however it does make me think that selling items of a greater value is extremely risky on Ebay
Thanks again all

more a problem of the tracking system i think. One of mine showed as not being delivered 4 days after the person had left positive feedback!

not just e bay though, any site holds risks when you are buying and selling, there is always some scammer out there. Having said which i have been lucky so far but i am sure it will happen sometime.

No excuse, always use tracked at all times to cover yourself and give the buyer piece of mind. I can't stand it when sellers use 2nd or first class.. Don't use signed for either, they never get people to sign. Tracked always. Even then it can go missing in the system though or not scanned.. I've had one that says it's been sat in Swansea mc since February, luckily the buyer was honest..
