How do you cancel a 'return request'

I've sold and item which had very minor damage. I wasn't aware of the damage and had listed the item with no reference to the damage. The mistake was clearly mine. Initially the buyer opted to return the item, however, the buyer would now like to keep the item on the basis that I make a partial refund of the sale price.

At present, I cannot see how as a seller I can cancel the return request ( I appreciate, I will probably lose out on the cost of the return lable that has been created).

Any help on how to cancel the return request appreciated, thank you.

Only the buyer can cancel it but can you not issue a partial refund withou return from the return case?    If buyer closes it they have to trust you to then issue the refund.   They won't be able to open another case.    Sellers are not charged for unused return labels.

You should have the option to offer a partial refund in response to the return request.  If the buyer then accepts the partial refund the return request will automatically close.

I've tried issuing a refund, but I think because I initially accepted the return request, I cannot now issue a refund whilst the return request is 'active'. I've messaged the buyer and explained they need to cancel their return request. Thanks for helping, 😀

If you click on "View return details" beside the item, you should see a link to "Offer a partial refund".
