How are people coping with shipping small or light items when Stupid Delivery is forced on them?

I can no longer ship small, light items using 2nd Class Large Letter, as all listings are being force-updated to use Stupid Simple Delivery. How are people dealing with this?

After having to surrender so much personal info to eBay this year, they suddenly made it difficult for me to use this platform. I feel hoodwinked. If I had known it was going to be this way, I would've quit eBay at the beginning of the year.

What items do you want to send as custom delivery?

It is a disaster area, but you need to tell Ebay what you used to sell with postage half the price than you can use now.

There are two chances. They listen and allow custom delivery for all items posted large letters under 100g or add the option to SD.

Otherwise use what is available to you and let buyers decide.

List new things on another platform for now, until hopefully eBay revises this. PayPal protection makes shipping relatively safe on fee free classified ad sites although few people seem to have thought of this. Even if you list things here as well with overpriced simple delivery at least your conscience will be clean as you have given your customers the choice that eBay isn't giving it's users. Also it will boost not reduce your sales visibility and potential. While in the past I would have been more loyal to eBay and not done this, loyalty has to be earned.
