I can still list using Yodel. Will this be zapped soon? What is going on?

I've just listed something and I didn't have the option to choose simple delivery. It was the only option yesterday. Has it been removed?

Just checked my listings.
A few £2.99 DVDs have suddenly gone from free postage to simple delivery; buyer paying £2.70?
I just changed back to free postage.

Now the 16th and still able to choose my own P&P! This is a glimmer of hope......

The rollout is staggered.
How do you know that for sure? I've just checked my listings which traverse a range of categories and can see no sign of the original postage rates being removed.
It seems strange that they haven't first changed the new listing or relisting screen to stop us specifying our own postage options as that would save them reworking those listings later.
Has anyone had a listing changed to SD-only yet?
Maybe they are delaying the rollout to fix the bugs, revise the pricing or just to consider the full weight of negative feedback and/or declining platform activity levels? Maybe they have had an intervention by the CMA or someone else? Maybe they are waiting on advice from their lawyers? Who knows?
That’s a very forlorn hope.
I’ve only been here since 2020 but I’ve seen enough changes to know that ‘ill prepared’, ‘staggered’ and ‘glitchy’ are the way things are done on the site. It is definitely still happening, and its happening now. Its time to accept it or stop using ebay. That’s what I’ve done. I’m not angry or upset, I just don’t accept the new terms so I won’t be using their service.
In answer to ‘has anyone had their listings changed? Yes, my existing listings were changed to SD on Friday (five days ago) and I could no longer list without SD late on Sunday, a few hours before the official change.

That’s not odd or surprising.
When the BPF was brought in I was one of the last to have it applied and it happened a week after the official start date. I got SD on all my listings, new and old, before the roll out.

I've just listed an item and the simple delivery option has been completely removed, all that's there is my original postage policies. It looks like it's reverted to normal...for now.

Don't get your hopes up...🙁
There's so many bits and pieces going t*ts up at the moment; it's a mess.
We all need to sit on our hands and wait for stuff to 'solidify'!

Even if it looks that way there’ll be evidence of it all over a sale. I posted my last ‘custom postage’ item last Thursday and although I used my usual RM Special Delivery with ‘bring my label’, when I was on the order page it was a fight to get through all the ‘traps’ that would have switched the order to Simple Delivery (I’d offered free postage so this would have been deducted from my balance), then giant pop ups that I should ‘get’ 🙄 the ‘buyer selected’ Large Letter label from eBay - never mind that the parcel was a 1.2kg piece of textile art in a medium size extra strong box.
That was my last sale. Everything was switched to SD for me the day after this, and I removed my remaining listings.

Same here, no change yet and no automatic switch to SD

Oh dear looks like ebay are going ahead with their self destruction - so far I had only seen reports of SD being added, not people being restricted to SD only. Thanks for confirming.

You have some lovely clothes listed…but you know, nobody has that many Liberty lawn shirts in their wardrobe, surely?
Not having a go, but if SD is not for you registering a business account would make all this go away.

@akemp1 “Oh dear looks like ebay are going ahead with their self destruction”
There was never any doubt they would. This will have been planned for years and the contracts they have with the carriers are huge. They have to double down on this now to the bitter end, if need be.
Personally, I don’t think it will be any kind of disaster for ebay for many reasons. It will ‘work as designed’ and even in the worst case scenario of a smaller cohort of private sellers the quarterly profits will still be enormous with three completely new ‘income streams’, in the words of Jamie Lannone himself.
Having said that, shenanigans such as this caused the failure of rival reselling site Mercari in the UK so 🤷🏻♀️
Many will disagree on all the above. That’s fine, I’m not here to change anyone’s mind on anything.
