Global Shipping Program USA to UK - Not working US seems to have been taken away this morning

Hey all, 
This morning I've had several customers contact me from the US saying that even though they are watching my items, and could purchase them yesterday through the GSP they can no longer do this and all my other items that they are not watching are now no longer showing in the US. 

To check this I've had somebody I know in the US  check mine, and other UK sellers to see if its just me, but it seems its everybody! they can no longer purchase and the postage option is no longer showing.
Was the US Just turned off? or taken off the list?
Was there any news, or information on this? 
This is a big hit to sales as eBay is used for global sales for us.
I know the UK was taken off the international program in the US for toys a few months ago, but i wonder if this is simliar?

With all due respect, the thing is that we're very much aware of this already, having found out for ourselves instead of eBay making any announcement on this in the last few days - as I said in the chat today, some people were commenting on here about being able to use the GSP for US sales on the 16th.  

The issue is how long everyone has to wait for it to be reinstated. It seemed to be paused across the board very promptly and efficiently, yet this doesn't apply to it being resumed.

Any ideas as to which categories have been reinstated?

I mostly sell toys and I'm aware that US sellers have been unable to sell toys to UK for quite some time now. Hoping it's not going to be vice versa?

It has nothing to do with category - I sell vinyl & CDs, and any GSP listings of mine don't include the US as an option, whereas some other vinyl/CD listings from other sellers do. 

It doesn't seem to matter either if the item is Simple Delivery or not. 

What a debacle.

I called eBay the Global shipping to US/Canada temporarily suspended due to the tariffs they have a team working on it.

Interesting.  I’m in Canada, and as far as I know the GSP is still forwarding stuff here.  Your listings don’t show the US as a shipping location, but Canada is still listed.

Canada's not been affected on my listings. 

The team's been working on this for nearly 2 weeks, supposedly - and an eBay rep I spoke to in the weekly chat yesterday was unaware that UK-US GSP was re-enabled for some listings nearly a week ago.

@hogwarts1996  just FYI, any temporary suspension to Canada would not likely be due to tariffs - to my knowledge there have been no recent major changes there and that is strictly a US issue.

However, Canada Post workers are likely going on strike again starting tomorrow, so eBay may be limiting some GSP shipments there in preparation for postal service disruptions and/or delays with other carriers as they will see increased overflow volume if Canada Post shuts down.

Not sure if this was the case when I last checked, but I just looked at @hogwarts1996's auctions again and while they offer international shipping to many countries (the United States being a notable exception), there's no shipping rates stated for the countries I checked (Canada and Sweden).  The eBay-generated message "Check item description or contact seller for postage options" appears where the shipping rate is usually displayed.

Did you get rid of the GSP on your listings, @hogwarts1996, or is this a glitch or intention of eBay?

Marco, it appears to be back on for Business sellers and not private, could you confirm this is correct?

Works for Canada but US bidders can’t bid even if I use Royal Mail International for my own shipping

Thank you for this.  It would have been helpful if we were told as I have only just found out today, by accident.  Can you confirm when this issue will be fixed as it is a major problem for sellers?

It would have been good to get a message to this effect but nothing from eBay to say it is paused I found out the hard way.

The message from US bidders “unfortunately this item cannot be shipped to the United States” even if I turn off GS and set a Royal Mail option International Track and signed they still cannot bid so in effect not allowed to sell to US bidders one of my top buyers !!!

That's very odd - I have a few listings running at the moment that I set just over a week ago using GSP except for the US where I've used Royal Mail International Tracked and it's all fine from looking at those listings on ebay.com

I've never known eBay to have so many issues & glitches as of right now. If you list an item for GSP usage, it will only show the UK as a shipping destination for about a minute.

Put on 3 items as Buy It Now to see what's happening re UK-US GSP - one shows up as shipping to the US but the other two are still restricted, despite all being in the same category...

Between this & the Simple Delivery debacle, eBay is a very frustrating thing indeed.

They should be sending comms to all UK/US users but they won't do that.

eBay have had long enough to do the comms but it's never going to happen. They are very sly and trying to hide this under the radar.
